About David

Images convey powerful messages in different ways to many people awakening a wide range of emotions.

In my photography I seek to capture motion and explore colour, shape, pattern and form, as well as the extremes of expansive images and and detail.

My love of photography stems from my grandfather who was equipped only with a simple Box Brownie and his imagination. His images told a story of the life of his family growing up in the Peak District of the UK.

Much of my work is now in Dorset & Hampshire capturing the landscape, people and buildings, though images from further afield capturing a wider subject range will feature in time.

Being formally trained as a Structural Engineer has informed the way I approach capturing images helping bring structure into my images.
